Last month, Instagram rolled out its newest feature - Instagram Reels. For Tiktok users, the Instagram Reel feature is very similar, if not identical. Reels are short, 15-second video clips that are meant to inspire, entertain and inform viewers. Instagram users can add music from Instagram's gallery or choose to include their own audio in Reels.
Reels are an important tool for brands because they can help increase engagement and grow your following. Once you post a video Reel, Instagram places it on the Explorer Feed. This exposes your video to potentially thousands of users who are not currently following your brand.
Check out Instagram's Explorer Feed and click on the "For You" page. Not only can you view Reels from those accounts that you follow, but you can also view Reels from top and trending pages.
Also similar to Tiktok, the new Reels feature allows users to incorporate a variety of fun video effects, stickers and playback speeds.
