On Thursday, May 18, 2017, Lolly's Locks hosted its "5th Annual Night of Fashion" presented by Huntington National Bank at the historic Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC. Lolly's Locks is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to connecting economically disadvantaged cancer patients with high-quality wigs. During the event, more than 350 guests enjoyed lively music, swag bags provided by generous sponsors, delicious bites, cocktails and champagne. Lolly's Locks board member and Stage 3 cancer fighter Michelle Schoenfeld provided a moving message during her opening remarks. Later in the evening, Jessica DeCristoforo, cancer survivor and author of Talk Cancer to Me, was honored and shared her story. The highlight of the evening was a fabulous fashion show featuring Shevy Wigs, as well as gowns by local designer Elaya Vaughn by Kate Pankoke. With the incredible support of members, volunteers, partners and friends, Lolly's Locks raised more than $150,000! For 5 years, Lolly's Locks has helped hundreds of cancer patients receive personalized wigs to help them maintain dignity, normalcy and privacy in their lives, despite the traumatic effects of cancer.
